**What you'll be doing?**:
Supporting the business and our divisional offices, our Head Office functions cover all departments from our Executive Board through to our support functions such as Group Design and Technical, HR, Health and Safety, IT, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, as well as Legal and Company Secretariat. We also have a specialised function - Barratt Partnerships.

While the work varies from team to team, our key requirements don’t: you must be well organised, extremely helpful and resourceful, and able to use your initiative. You’ll understand that what you do is important, and impacts on your team, the department, and the wider business.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will provide a payroll service, across the business, working closely with internal and external customers to ensure excellence in service delivery.

You will be expected to:

- Administration of weekly & monthly Payrolls for 5,000+ employees via designated divisions within the group.
- Ensure new starter details, salary calculation, pension contributions, tax documents and entitlements are correct
- Process all leavers on a timely basis and issue P45’s
- Ensure that that any requests from third parties such as HMRC are dealt with promptly
- Prepare and input data onto the system in line with company procedures and legislation
- Maintain accurate and confidential records
- Validate data input
- Investigate and resolve identified discrepancies
- Meet daily/weekly/monthly deadline
- Deliver a service which meets customer expectations
- Complete third party requests accurately & promptly
- Administration of AOE’s
- Administration of Flexible Benefits
- P11D/PSA Processing
- Payroll System -MHR iTrent

**What you'll need?**:
To be successful in the role, we are looking for:

- Sociable Team player
- Good IT literacy skills (Excel, word and databases)
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Able to work under pressure/own initiative
- Problem solving - identify solutions and implement them
- Proven payroll experience
- Excellent knowledge of current legislation
