The RAF (Royal Air Force) Association has a clear objective: to help sustain a resilient and empowered RAF community, including serving personnel, RAF veterans and their families. **About the role**

This is a newly created position for a Head of Wellbeing (HWB) who will be responsible for the strategic development of the Association’s wellbeing provision, putting the client at the centre of design and implementation. Using a co-creation and co-production approach, the HWB will identify, develop, implement, manage and oversee the delivery and development of wellbeing products and services as well as working with stakeholders and diverse partners across the volunteer, private and public sectors to further develop existing wellbeing activities, creating new initiatives to meet the emerging needs of the RAF community.

The HWB is also responsible for developing and implementing a strategic framework (strategy, plans, budgets, forecasts, KPIs and evaluation/monitoring systems to track and demonstrate the effectiveness of wellbeing activity and identify trends/make recommendations) and key operational processes, systems and protocols. As an ambassador for the Association’s Wellbeing Directorate, you will be engaging with a wide range of stakeholders to support marketing and funding activity related to wellbeing products and services, in line with organisational commissioning processes. The post holder will be required to undertake a DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check prior to appointment.

**About you**

You will be a graduate or a qualified professional in an applicable field such as wellbeing services/public health/project management with experience in delivering successful wellbeing services and initiatives. As an influential and persuasive leader, you will line manage and develop a high performing team, providing advice, challenge, coaching and a culture of continuous improvement in order achieve optimum results. Previous experience of facilitating and presenting at meetings, events and workshops is integral to the role along with the ability to produce accurate senior level reports/business cases.

We offer agile working for this role with the expectation you can attend the office 2-3 days per week. There will be occasional travel throughout the UK (a drivers license is essential) however we do offer some flexibility in working hours to accommodate this.
