About the Role

The Elizabeth School of London is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Wellbeing Officer to join our London campus. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our students throughout their academic journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular wellbeing meetings with students to discuss their concerns and provide guidance and support.
  • Analyse and identify wellbeing cases, and collaborate with the Wellbeing Manager to develop and implement effective support plans.
  • Provide expert advice and information on student wellbeing and pastoral care, and offer support to students experiencing emotional or practical difficulties.
  • Manage a caseload of student wellbeing matters, reviewing support needs and logging student outcomes, and communicating with tutors and other central services.
  • Collaborate with the Wellbeing Manager to deliver workshops, webinars, and awareness-raising events to promote student wellbeing.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with colleagues across the University to support service delivery and issue resolution.
  • Plan and organise your own workload, and contribute to longer-term plans and programmes.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Psychology, Education, or a related subject.
  • A willingness to train in Mental Health First Aid.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and identify and implement continuous improvement.
  • Sensitivity and empathy with students, colleagues, and staff.
  • Ability to deal with confidential matters and act with discretion.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • A master's degree in Psychology or a Mental Health qualification.
  • Experience in producing and managing timetables in an educational context.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Evidence of working with a diverse range of students.
  • Experience in risk assessments and crisis management.
