About the Role

The Elizabeth School of London is seeking a Wellbeing Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our students throughout their academic journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Wellbeing Meetings: Meet with students to discuss their problems and provide guidance and support.
  • Analyse and Identify Wellbeing Cases: Identify students who may be experiencing emotional or practical difficulties and provide a report to the Wellbeing Manager.
  • Provide Guidance and Support: Offer advice and information related to student wellbeing and pastoral care, and provide support to students who are experiencing difficulties.
  • Manage Student Wellbeing Matters: Review support needs and log student outcomes, and communicate with tutors and other central services.
  • Deliver Workshops and Events: Help the Wellbeing Manager to deliver workshops, webinars, and awareness-raising events to support student wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with Other Teams: Work with other teams to establish, maintain, and develop productive relationships with colleagues across the University, in order to support service delivery and issue resolution.
Requirements
  • Essential Qualifications: A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Psychology, Education, or a related subject.
  • Training and Development: A willingness to train in Mental Health First Aid.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent communication skills and good problem-solving skills.
  • Collaboration and Continuous Improvement: The ability to work collaboratively with others and identify and implement continuous improvement.
  • Sensitivity and Empathy: Sensitivity and empathy with students, colleagues, and staff.
  • Confidentiality and Discretion: The ability to deal with confidential matters and act with discretion.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Master's Degree: A Master's degree in Psychology or a related subject.
  • Experience in Education: Experience in producing and managing timetables in an educational context.
  • IT Skills: Strong IT skills.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Evidence of working with a diversity of students.
  • Risk Assessment and Crisis Management: Experience in risk assessments and crisis management.
