We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Custody Detention Officers. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with police officers and other agencies to provide exceptional care and support to detainees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support detainees during their time in custody, providing physical and mental healthcare and wellbeing needs
  • Escort detainees and make recorded observations as per their individual plan
  • Work with colleagues and the police to deal with detainees who are a risk of harming themselves

  • A competitive salary of £26,112 on a 4-shift on, 2 days, 2 nights, then 4-shift off pattern rota's 2 years in advance

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in the police/security/armed forces would be beneficial, but we will train you in full
  • Competent in IT and using a computer
  • Full valid driving licence
  • Lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years
  • Have valid British passport/settled status
  • All candidates are subject to police vetting checks - clean driving/criminal record is essential

About the Role:

The custody suites can be an energetic place to work, with no two shifts the same. You will work in a small team alongside police officers, with the support of experienced senior custody detention officers. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives and develop your skills and knowledge in a rewarding and challenging role.
