About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Prison Officer. As a key member of our correctional services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of prisoners, staff, and visitors within our prisons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise prisoners in all aspects of prison wing activity
  • Oversee work and education programmes, encouraging prisoners to participate
  • Operational matters such as prisoner headcounts, prison cell searching, security, and administrative processes
  • Manage prisoners who are at risk of self-harm

Requirements

Training and Development

We offer a comprehensive training programme, which includes a 10-week Initial Training Course (ITC) at the prison. This course provides high-quality training, including a Diploma in Custodial Care, First Aid, and Control and Restraint training.
