Contracts Manager - Groundworks Sub-Contractor
Location:
Derby, with travel to sites within a 1.5-hour radius.
Salary:
Up to £70,000 + Company Car + Health Insurance + Benefits.
About the Company:
Established in 2019, this family-run groundworks contractor has seen impressive year-on-year growth with a turnover of £3 million, projected to reach £4 million next year.
They specialize in delivering groundwork packages across various sectors, including prisons and care homes, working with a number of Tier 1 contractors.
The Role:
As a Contracts Manager, you will oversee 3 to 4 sites at any one time, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
You will be expected to be in the office for an internal meeting once a week and travel to sites on a regular basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee multiple construction sites
- Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and site teams
- Manage up and down - effectively communicate with senior leadership while managing site teams and relationships with contractors
- Ensure smooth project delivery in line with drawings and specifications
- Attend weekly office meetings and site visits
Requirements:
- Tier 1 contractor experience is essential (either working with or for)
- Groundworks experience is not essential
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels, from senior leadership to site teams
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- A proven track record in managing construction projects
- Flexibility to travel to sites and attend office meetings
