Job Description

Job Title: Pastoral Support Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Pastoral Support Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Deputy Principal and Heads of Year to provide administrative support and lead interventions for pupils to support behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Heads of Year and the Assistant Principal with pupil behaviour, aiming to nurture each pupil on their own journey of self-discovery.
  • Work with students who are finding it hard to integrate by providing support.
  • Lead intervention strategies to support pupil behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing.
  • Liaise with parents/carers and external agencies.
  • Provide Heads of Year and SET updates on pupil groups and the effectiveness of intervention strategies.
Requirements:
  • High level of literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Highly organised, ability to manage own workload and work on own initiative to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates initiative and takes personal responsibility for completion of tasks.
  • Resilience and motivation to support the pastoral and school team.
  • Ability to produce and record clear, concise, and accurate information.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people.
