Cheltenham, United Kingdom National Star Full time

We are looking for a highly organised administrator to support the running and development of therapy services across National Star by providing administrative support in wide range of tasks across our therapy teams allowing them concentrate on what they do best - supporting students with complex needs.

To do well in this role you will be a resilient, ‘can-do’ person who works well as part of a team or on your own. Able to build and maintain strong, working relationships, you will liaise with internal staff, external agencies, clients and their families to help our team with the timetabling of private therapy sessions, and supporting our therapists with the student’s transitions out of college to ongoing services.

As well as routine administration such as photocopying, dealing with post, maintaining electronic diaries, we would also like you to take an active part in the invoicing for private therapy sessions working in conjunction with our Finance department so some previous experience of basic accounting administration would be helpful including administering databases and creating and manipulating spreadsheets.

Attention to detail is critical to this role, as is confidentiality and diplomacy. No two days will be the same. For example, you may find yourself taking minutes for a meeting in the morning and helping us to arrange student overnight experiences such as the ski learning experience in the afternoon in this hugely varied position.

It’s likely that you will have had previous experience in administration, possibly in an education setting. IT savvy, you will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and be an intermediate or advanced user of Excel.

Knowing that the work you do ultimately supports young people with disabilities to become more independent so they can live active lives is what motivates many of our current support staff to give their all at work.

This is a part time role working 30 hours per week, ideally over 5 days. This equates to 0.81 FTE - the actual annual salary will therefore be paid at £16,380.
