The Opportunity:

- Avantor is currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Stores Coordinator, to join the team based in Cambridge, UK. In this position you’ll take ownership of assisting logistics team and running the flow of stock in a laboratory environment.
- This role will be a full-time, permanent position based in a brand-new facility at the customer site - The Discovery Centre, Bio-Medical Campus in Cambridge. Next to an attractive salary, we offer multiple benefits such as pension scheme, private medical and dental care, and additional day off for your birthday.Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8hrs shifts between 7:00 - 17:00 (with the possibility of shifts being extended to 19:00).The TeamYou’ll belong to our business department Lab and Product Services, which supports big pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.What we’re looking for-
Education: High school or equivalent experience
-Experience: Previous experience working in a stores' environment is desirable. This could be from hospitality, retail, or general warehouse stockrooms.
-Collaboration Tool: Exposure to stock ordering and warehouse management software
- How you’ll thrive and create an impact-
Inventory management (consumables, chemicals, samples) and accurate inventory control, processing requests leading to inventory movement on and off site, and fulfilling customer metric reporting
-Monitoring slow moving and dead inventory, conduct cycle counting, yearly physical inventories, and reporting
-Using our Inventory Management System to oversee all inventory activities
-Handling hazardous material and preparing shipping documentation and packaging requirements
