**Summary**
The Digital Team in the JAC supports a range of digital services across the whole organisation. As part of the JAC, you will be a key part of the team and will make a significant and direct contribution for the JAC, the Judiciary and the wider range of organisations we work with.
**About the JAC**
The JAC is responsible for designing, planning, and running recruitment campaigns to select judicial office holders up to and including High Court Judges. We have a statutory duty to select solely on merit, while keeping our selection processes open to the widest range of applicants. We launch a new campaign for judicial posts every one to two weeks. These range from high volume campaigns for ‘entry level’ posts, attracting upward of 2,000 applicants, to small campaigns for senior roles, attracting a handful of highly qualified people.
Though located at Clive House, Petty France, London, SW1H 9AJ JAC staff are currently working in a hybrid way with some days in the office and some days working remotely. It will be necessary for the successful postholder to work at the JAC location regularly to support business need.

**About the Role**
The Business Analyst will have a key role in our Digital Service. The role provides advice, support and guidance to shape new and existing JAC digital services and projects.
The Business Analyst will visualise new and improved ways of working and practically help the organisation to work through their choices.
As a Business Analyst you will work in highly adaptive, agile environments where you will undertake analysis of the organisation, our processes and systems. You will run workshops, investigate detailed lines of enquiry with individuals and teams, and interact with staff at all levels.
You will be responsible for supporting the Product Owner in defining a clear set of desired outcome statements and work to drive high quality delivery.
- The role requires a proactive individual who is keen to make a difference and enjoys looking for ways to improve things. The role requires an ability to build positive relationships and communicate through multiple channels while working to key milestones, when required.
- As a Business Analyst, you will understand and analyse user and business needs to ensure outcomes are aligned with the service vision and business strategy by contributing to the link between current and future business models and delivering to the business architecture.
- You will challenge constructively and act as a critical friend to achieve solutions that are fit for purpose.
- You will facilitate collaboration and lead effective communication with all stakeholders to support design, build and delivery to meet the user needs.
- Your role will also include supporting a Product Owner to carry out their duties effectively.
**Main responsibilities**
- Actively contribute to workshops and meetings to assure the delivery of business requirements.
- Through training and learning, develop knowledge and expertise of the Judicial Appointments Commission.
- Understand business requirements and configure the system to provide a technical solution.
- Raise, manage and communicate, when appropriate, risks and issues.
- Deliver work in a structured, timely and quality way to meet milestones and timelines.
- Deliver updates to different audiences.
- Requirements Gathering - to gather business and user requirements against the clear objectives articulated for the project.
- Process Modelling of Judicial Appointment Commission business processes.
- Stakeholder Management and Engagement - working closely with colleagues in the Judicial Appointments Commission and other partners to understand requirements and systems.
