**Salary**:Circa £40,000 per annum + Uncapped Commission
**Working Pattern**:Monday - Friday / 40 hours per week
You will be working remotely within the UK and are expected to travel 4 times a week across the UK, to attend client practices, exhibitions, conferences and sales meetings.

**Job Purpose/Summary**
VPG are looking for a Business Development Executive to support the continued growth of the business and assist as part of a fast paced team in developing and nurturing existing accounts to increase lab usage, while acquiring new accounts. This is a full-time, permanent role which will be home-based, consisting of daily visits to prospective and existing client locations, and occasional visits to VPG Labs, when required for meetings and training.

Business Development Approach of VPG
- Maintain CRM - Add new profiles, keep them updated and ensure BD activities are accounted for.
- Be Data Driven - Know your numbers, and be motivated by them.
- Nurture Bonds - Fully know your clients, and let your clients know you, via regular engagement and relationship building.
- Aim At Targets - Almost exclusively focus on and grow the highest potential accounts.
Business Development Tasks
- Work closely with internal teams to support the VPG Business Development Manager with business development strategy.
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
- Track prospect and sales information within our CRM system.
- Attend weekly Business Development accountability meetings.
- Develop a strong understanding of our customers' needs and present relevant services, cross sell additional VPG testing into our existing client base.
- Analyse revenue reports, practice loss and gain, follow up and communicate to the Business Development Manager, and on occasions to senior management.
- Identify new veterinary practices within a given area and book meetings to discuss the range of diagnostic services that we offer.
- Work with the Marketing team to tailor campaigns to new and existing client's needs, and promote campaigns, CPD and other marketing initiatives. Attend tradeshows and other marketing events as assigned.
- Continuously improve through feedback.
- Be coachable, and willing to learn from constructive feedback and always striving to learn and improve.
- Undertake any other duties within the team, which may be requested by your line manager.
General Office Duties
- Assist with general administrative duties within the team.
- Always comply with SOPs; inform your manager and quality department immediately should there be an error in an SOP or if it needs updating.
- Sustain and promote the aims, ethics and aspirations of the company and participate enthusiastically in the growth and prosperity of the company.
- Maintain confidentiality of the department and use discretion where necessary.
Safety
- You must be willing to comply with all VPG policies and complete annual mandatory training; observe safety regulations and attend mandatory fire, manual handling and other courses as required. This also includes updates and have knowledge of COSHH and Lifting and Handling Policies.
- We want our working environment to be safe for all; it is every VPG employee's duty to report all incidents and adverse events to managers and assist in the investigations of any incidents.
- Ensure that the equipment within area of work is maintained and operated as per SOP's, you must also always comply with SOPs. Inform your manager and quality department immediately should there be an error in an SOP or if it needs updating.
**Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or "What it will look like when you are doing the job well"**
- Regular practice visits, 4 days per normal work week, with one day of administrative work from home.
- Grow lab usage and revenue of assigned accounts.
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within the given time frames.
- Update client information and information of contacts within the client hospitals in the CRM.
**Knowledge, skills, attributes, and experience**
Essential
- Highly motivated and target driven, with a proven track record in sales and business development.
- Must be willing to regularly travel (up to 80%) within your home territory, in order to nurture strong client relationships through face to face interactions.
- Must be able to prioritise, organise and manage time effectively.
- Clean UK Driving License.
- Familiarity with CRM systems with a ability to build productive business professional relationship.
