- Immigration Enforcement is responsible for enforcing the government’s immigration laws, tackling illegal migration, removing foreign national offenders and immigration offenders from the UK. The Operational Capabilities Command (OCC) is a directorate within Enforcement, Compliance & Crime (ECC). Our mission is to ensure that operational colleagues have the skills, capabilities, tools and infrastructure which are modern, environmentally sustainable, fit for purpose and allows staff to maximise their operational effectiveness.
Our aim is to work across people and strategic workforce planning, change, digital, performance, engagement, risk, law enforcement engagement and our vulnerability and fair treatment teams collaboratively as one team. We will act as agents of change, to provide the innovation, service and thought leadership that is needed so that Enforcement, Compliance & Crime (ECC) runs well as a command now and transforms further to meet the demands and opportunities of the future.
Interventions, Sanctions and Compliance (ISC) is part of Immigration Enforcement and is responsible for encouraging compliance within the immigration rules as part of the overall enforcement effort to tackle illegal migration and those who help to facilitate it.
Based in Manchester the Central Support and Tracing Hub forms part of the ISC.

We will deliver full and comprehensive training which will enable you to carry out this high-profile and varied role.

**Responsibilities**:
- Working closely with the team to undertake bulk checks of data to maintain accurate absconder records.
- Interrogating Home Office systems, to ensure cases fit the absconder criteria and to perform checks on internal systems and databases for traces of a person where required.
- Assisting in the gathering of intelligence on absconders.
- Acting readily on feedback in a positive and responsive way.
- Reviewing and analysing multiple sources of information, updating systems accordingly and making the best decision based on available evidence.
- Creating and maintaining positive and trusting relationships within the team.
- Some travel to other offices may be required.

- Ability to tackle varied tasks and balance different demands whilst delivering at pace.
- Good attention to detail.
- Working with/analysing information with the ability to identify trends and highlight risks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Willingness to complete work-related training as the need arises.

- Experience of working in customer service.
