- Immigration Enforcement is responsible for enforcing the government’s immigration laws, tackling illegal migration, removing foreign national offenders and immigration offenders from the UK. **Job description**:
The National Command and Control Unit is the Immigration Enforcement (IE) 24/7 first point of contact for our main customers which are all UK Police Forces. We support the IE wider priorities by identifying immigration offenders encountered by the Police either roadside or in custody and referring them to Immigration Compliance and Criminal and Financial Investigations teams for further action. We act as the first point of contact for all Clandestine events as well as being the IE Comms Hub. NCCU identifies incidents of a serious and high-profile nature and provides expert coordination and support to the management of these incidents.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the SEO lead for this area and the wider management team, you will have key responsibility for all Annualised Working Hours (AHW) and rostering areas of work for all grades.
- Planning/plotting/overseeing the work force at NCCU based on demand in a very fast paced environment.
- You will manage/oversee use of all reporting and rostering tools.
- Oversight and completion of duties/rostering/backfilling for a team of 120+ officers.
- Calculating and monitoring all AHW agreements.
- TAM’s interrogation, report pulling and reconciling.
- Communicating with colleagues at all grades in relation to AHW at NCCU and the wider business.

**Essential criteria**
- Background in work force planning.
- In-depth knowledge of Annualised Hours Agreement (AHW) policy, adept at interpreting and communicating policy the managers and end users.
- Demonstrate detailed knowledge of MS Excel to make the best use of data including data analysis
- Have a proven record of creating maintaining and developing complex databases, spreadsheets, statistical packages.
- Be flexible, adaptive, and creative in solving problems, embedding continuous improvement and dealing positively with change.
- Experience of working in a fast paced, busy environment that requires the ability to multitask and change focus whilst ensuring Unit productivity remains consistent.
- Organised, reliable, results driven and an ability to see the bigger picture.
- A willingness to learn new skills.

**Desirable criteria**
- An understanding of Immigration Enforcement and the work NCCU undertakes.
- Proficient in using the Time Attendance Management System (TAMS) for rostering.
