The post holder will provide administrative support to the GP ST

Training Programme Directors covering all aspect of the Scheme. This post supports the delivery of high quality medical education, through the organisation, co-ordination and management of educational learning events. To work with the GP ST Training Programme Directors to develop the Scheme and to provide support to the GP Registrars

1. Being the first point of contact for GP Registrars, Trainers, Educators, Lead Employers, GP Practices and Royal College of General Practitioners.

2. Being first point of contact for GP Registrars to who concerns; escalating to GP TPDs as appropriate and in line with Trust and HEEoE School policies.

4. On occasion it will be necessary to attend external meetings and training events which will require travel.

6. Manage own workload to ensure deadlines are met and quality is not compromised and ability to work independently but within the boundaries of the role and grade.

7. Updating and maintaining Training Programme rotations, including trainee placements both hospital and General Practice placements on Trainee Information System (TIS) and ePortfolio.

8. Liaising with TPDs in relation to vacancies and the construction of appropriate rotations for the recruitment process using TIS.

**9.Communicating with newly appointed trainees**: to welcome to the Scheme, confirm placement and reporting details as well as Trust and Training Programme induction event

Working with TPDs to ensure organisation of local education events, including
- Half day release programme
- GP Trainers’ workshops
- Training sessions for Educational Supervisors and Named Clinical Supervisor
- Mock CSA exams
- Other training events as required.

To ensure effective provision of local education events, duties will include:

- Organisation of appropriate venues and supporting elements such as refreshments, etc.
- Under the directive of the TPDs prepare timetables and organise external representative e.g. speakers, facilitators
- Preparation of attendance registers
- Under the directive of the TPD circulate and collation of relevant information and documentation
- Support to the education event as required
- Provision of feedback forms & collation of responses to provide reports to TPDs
