Compliance Officer

Metamark (UK) Ltd is a leading manufacturer and supplier of self-adhesive sign and print materials and is in an exciting stage of its growth. We are working hard to develop our compliance and sustainability values and as such are looking to strengthen our Operations Compliance team.
**Key Responsibilities: To Support the Compliance Manager in delivering**
**Health & Safety**
- Performing Site Health & Safety and Environmental internal audits (via Work Wallet) to ensure workplace safety and compliance.
- Monitoring Asset Inspections to ensure any reported defective assets are actioned.
- Ensuring any identified corrective actions are completed from audits or inspections
- Support the investigation of any reported incidents and accidents to minimise recurrence and enhance safety measures.
**ISO Accreditations**
Implement a more integrated management system by combining and updating all documentation where possible for the following accredited standards:
- ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
- ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System
- ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management System
- ISO 50001: 2018 Energy Management System
- Perform internal audits in line with all agreed programmes to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of the management systems.
- Support any extensions of the scope of existing ISO accreditations to existing and future Metamark operating sites and businesses
- Support the implementation of future ISO accreditations
**Compliance**
- Support in the preparation for audits conducted by external accreditors and client-appointed organisations.
- Support the hosting of any external sub-contractors on site who are attending to service equipment
- Plan and liaise with external contractors to ensure inspections are scheduled and performed in line with their required frequency.
**ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance)**
- Be part of the cross functional team working on delivering an ESG accreditation for all sites.
- Support the implementation of subsequent areas identified for continuous improvement.
**Job Requirements**:
- Experience in working within a manufacturing environment. (Minimum 2 years)
- Proficient or qualified to IOSH OR NEBOSH standards
- A working knowledge of ISO standards and their requirements (Minimum 2 years)
- Good knowledge of current health and safety regulations
- Ability to solve problems effectively.
- Self-starter, well-organised, and capable of building relationships at all levels
- Internal Auditing (minimum 2 years)
- Working knowledge of the Work Wallet Software package
- Proficient in Microsoft software packages
