**Personal Assistant to Director of Maternity and Head of Midwifery**

**Role and Duties: Personal Assistant to Director of Maternity and Head of Midwifery**

As a Personal Assistant (PA) in the Maternity Services department, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive administrative support to the Head of Midwifery and the Maternity Senior Leadership Team (SLT). Your responsibilities will include:
**Diary Management and Meeting Coordination**:

- Efficiently manage the diaries of the Director and Head of Midwifery.
- Arrange and coordinate meetings, ensuring seamless communication.

**Correspondence Management**:

- Manage incoming telephone calls, ensuring prompt and professional responses.

**Document Preparation and Support for Strategic Projects**:

- Prepare documents for ad-hoc projects and teams within Maternity.
- Assist in the delivery of strategic projects by collating documentation and progressing required actions.

**Minute Taking and Action Log Progression**:

- Support meetings by taking minutes and ensuring action logs are efficiently progressed.

**Essential**:

- Secretarial experience
- Significant administrative experience, demonstrating the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and high computer literacy.
- Knowledge of NHS Constitution, Trust vision, values, and strategic objectives.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle confidential issues.

**Desirable**:

- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualifications and/or training.
- Medical terminology knowledge.
- Previous experience in NHS settings.
- Familiarity with Trust patient management systems.
