**Job summary**:
We are looking for talented and highly enthusiastic individual to join the Postgraduate Medical Education team following expansion to the team. Postgraduate Medical Education is responsible for supporting the education and training of all junior doctors within the Trust; both Doctors in Training Posts and Locally Employed (Trust appointed) Doctors.

The role requires a dynamic individual with excellent organisational and communication skills. The role involves communicating with a wide range of people at all levels, both internal and external to the organisation. We are looking for an individual who are self-starters and have the ability to perform both autonomously and as part of the team. You will be able to manage and prioritise a highly demanding, and at times complex workload, which can require meticulous attention to detail and the ability to be able to work under pressure adhering to tight deadlines. You will possess excellent I.T skills and have a flexible approach to work.

We have 1 post at Heartlands Hospital site however please note, that travel may be required to any of the other University Hospital Birmingham sites, to ensure the needs of the service are met.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:

We are looking for either 1 full time member of staff or 2 part time staff working a job share.

This vacancy is a permanent position.

POST A = 16.75hrs per week
- Working Pattern:
09:30am until 14:45pm (5hrs 15mins) Monday's

09:30am until 14:30pm (5hrs) Tuesday's

09:30am until 16:00pm (6hrs 30mins) Wednesday's.

POST B = 20.75hrs per week
- Working Pattern:
09:30am until 15:15pm (5hrs 45mins) Wednesday's

09:00am until 17:00pm (7hrs 30mins) Thursday's and Friday's.

POST C = 16.75hrs per week
- Working Pattern:
09:30am until 14:30pm (5hrs) Wednesday's

09:30am until 14:45pm (5hrs 15mins) Thursday's

09:30am until 16:00pm (6hrs 30mins) Friday's.

POST D = 20.75hrs per week
- Working Pattern:
09:00am until 17:00pm (7hrs 30mins) Monday's.

09:30am until 15:15pm (5hrs 45mins) Tuesday's

09:00am until 17:00pm (7hrs 30mins) Friday's.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**:

- NVQ level 3 in Business/ Administration or equivalent experience
- GCSE/O level in English language (grade A*-B)
- GCSE in Maths
- A/AS Level in English

**Desirable**:

- Evidence of continued development

**Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Relevant previous experience of Postgraduate Medical Education
- Proficient in Microsoft office - Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Good working knowledge of internet navigation
- Good understanding of the education processes for junior doctors

**Desirable**:

- Work experience in the NHS or health care sector
