Medical Education Administrator

Position Overview
An exceptional opportunity has emerged within our Education and Learning Department for a dedicated and proactive individual to join our Medical Education Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive administrative and secretarial support.
The role involves assisting the Head of Academy and both undergraduate and postgraduate teams in obstetrics and gynaecology. The individual will be expected to foster effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, including medical schools, Academy personnel, medical students, and postgraduate doctors.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the recruitment of examiners and coordinate medical examinations.
- Manage the allocation of students to consultant teams and Senior Academic Tutors.
- Oversee student induction processes and prepare detailed timetables.
- Assist in the recruitment of lecturers for undergraduate and postgraduate medical education programs.
- Compile comprehensive information packs for students and doctors.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students and doctors during their placements.
Job Duties
While the position does not entail direct professional responsibilities, it requires a high level of personal initiative to prioritize workload, address student inquiries, and manage general telephone communications. The ability to exercise discretion and make informed decisions is essential.
The postholder will also support the Education Centre Teams, ensuring the seamless operation of educational facilities and the delivery of high-quality services.

Essential Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- A minimum of three years of administrative or secretarial experience.
- Proficiency in handling confidential information.
- Experience in a customer-focused environment.
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate deadlines and examination schedules.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office 365.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in minute-taking.
- Familiarity with medical undergraduate and postgraduate processes.
- Experience collaborating with senior staff.
- Background in a medical or hospital setting.
