You will have the opportunity to work within and across a variety of teams, developing your knowledge and skills in the hospital environment.

You will be a key element of a wide range of, contract an service contract finance and KPIs alongside transformational changes and will assist with the design and planning of quality improvement projects in collaboration with the senior leadership team across Pathology Services. This will involve assisting with the effective financial control and tracking of contracts and projects to ensure they deliver within budget, and that project costs and savings are maintained. In addition, assist with identifying and documenting benefits that will be realised during and after change implementation.

As a Business Administrator you will be part of the Business Unit Team which comprises of several teams. Your role will be to support the Pathology Business Unit Manager and the wider Pathology senior leadership team.

You will be organising and facilitate the data and monitoring requirements for delivery of our CDC services alongside, supporting meetings, contract monitoring and projects, maintaining data, files, databases and undertaking correspondence is essential to supporting our management team in their work.

**Provide administration services including**:
Ability to work flexibly and to cover a range of different areas and tasks.

Generate and prepare documents such as letters and reports.

Organise and facilitate formal meetings including drafting agendas, circulating papers and taking and transcribing accurate minutes.

Prioritise queries and bring to the attention of relevant staff in a timely manner and act on any instruction.

Retrieve records, update data enter new data and information accurately using the Departmental and Trust computer systems including Datix.

Generate, sort, distribute and prioritise internal / external post / records.

Utilise RSA keyboard skills and audio -typing or equivalent to produce specialist and routine correspondence or documents.

To adhere to standard operating procedures and assist in keeping these up to date.

Take and process telephone calls in an appropriate manner. Telephone calls will involve contact with a range of internal and external stakeholders and may involve the provision of non-clinical advice.

Be a role model for the service by promoting a patient-focussed approach, fostering a caring environment and ensuring collaborative working relationships with all other departments.

To ensure patient confidentiality is always maintained in line with Trust policy.

Act as an ambassador for the department and promote its services.

Undertake statutory training as required in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and Trust’s policies.

Ensure that security in the work environment is maintained, locking doors and windows, challenging unknown persons who enter the work area and by always wearing the Trust identity badge whilst at work.

Achieve training as required by the post or identified through PDR.

Any other duties as deemed appropriate by senior staff.

To assist in the training of staff and supervision of apprentices as required.

Support HR Processes including formal Employee Relations meetings.
