rradar is a ground-breaking litigation and commercial law firm that uses legal expertise with digital tools to proactively educate, manage, advise, and deliver business solutions to reduce business and legal risk.

In the space of just 10 years rradar has grown to six locations, employing over 170 people, and with significant further growth anticipated over the coming years.

The newly created role of Head of HR is pivotal to rradar’s future success, reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, is responsible for building a scalable HR function, and proactively leading a team of HR professionals to realise the potential of people to support the successful delivery of rradar’s ambitious growth plans and priorities, further developing rradar’s culture.

The Head of HR will work closely with the Chief People Officer to develop rradar’s people strategy and turn those strategic priorities into executable operational plans. This role will own a broad set of complex business and HR initiatives, which are crucial to the long-term strategy of a rapidly growing, highly dynamic company that will deliver success through its people.

**The role**

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and implementing a detailed People Plan, with supporting budget, objectives and metrics to support the key business strategies and objectives.
- Building, developing and motivating a team of HR professionals to meet objectives and to drive credibility and value at all levels and functions of the business.
- Establishing key people metrics to demonstrate the value of the People function and implement ways to improve these.
- Managing the HR budget and demonstrate ongoing improvement in the HR cost base.
- Embedding people strategies and frameworks, coaching and supporting business leaders and managers to drive consistent, high-performance across rradar.
- Developing rradar’s employee value proposition to anticipate, source, engage, develop and retain key skills and experience.
- Developing and managing the people workstream and activities related to acquisitions and integration.
- Developing and embedding effective people initiatives and retention strategies that promote and facilitate rradar’s culture.
- Acting as a trusted advisor and coach to the operational leadership team. Developing relationships to build and maintain a positive culture and working environment at all levels within rradar to ensure people are motivated and able to work to their best.
- Continuously reviewing and embedding a comprehensive suite of fixed and variable reward programmes and benefits package, aligned to the People strategic priorities.
- Developing and continuously reviewing HR systems, process and policies that establish and maintain effective people governance and controls, and support an integrated scalable function.
- Giving oversight to HR / regulatory activities and process to ensure compliance, with any risks identified and proactively addressed.
- Providing and developing HR policy guidance.
- Delivering comprehensive HR and legislative advice in a commercial and strategically focused manner, facilitating improved employee engagement, performance and retention.
- Overseeing complex employee relations casework across the full spectrum of employee issues.

You will need to demonstrate significant HR experience across a broad spectrum of HR practices and strategies, ideally in a professional services environment, and with the ability to interact on a credible basis with Directors and Senior Managers; being seen as a challenger and people leader, driving stepped change.

You will demonstrate ability to drive high performing teams, coaching and developing others to realise their potential and delivering an effective people agenda through your team.

You will be confident in influencing people, including people managers, and making things happen, combining hands-on delivery of the practical day to day while maintaining focus on the development and management of multiple larger projects.

You will have a proven track record in delivering significant contribution to business strategy and implementing and embedding HR strategies in fast-growing organisations with demonstrable experience in:

- implementing and managing complex transformation and culture change initiatives and business acquisitions.
- developing and supporting business leaders and managers, coaching and supporting through change.
- managing employee relations and improving employee engagement.
- continuously reviewing and improving people processes and procedures to meet operational requirements.

You will be naturally positive and enthusiastic about business change and growth and building solutions to support this rather than allowing obstacles to get in the way.

You will display strong business and commercial acumen and be up to date with current Employment Law and Legislation. Your proactive, solution-oriented approach will enable you to coach and develop others, and
