Senior Internal Communications Executive

Role Introduction:
Are you a tech-savvy, innovative communications or media specialist ready to join a team making a substantial impact? We are seeking a seasoned communications professional or technology reporter to join our Internal Communications Team. Reporting to the Director of Internal Communications, you’ll partner with our Chief Technology Office to tell the story of their critical workstreams to the wider company in a way that informs, engages and excites our people around the globe.
**Please note this is a hybrid Birmingham role**
What You Will Do:
- **Strategic Internal Communications**: support the development and implementation of our internal communications strategy to ensure employees are informed about the company's vision, goals, and milestones.
- ** Support the Chief Technology Office**: bring the work of our engineers, product and service teams to life by translating complex mission-critical work into engaging content.
- ** Cascade communications**:support communications within the Chief Technology Office function e.g. through Function Town Halls and Ask Sessions designed to inform and engage teams around the globe.
- ** Skilled Storyteller**: Produce compelling written stories and collaborate with creative team members to produce multi-platform content, including video, podcasts, gamification and infographics, to engage employees company-wide.
- ** Foster Strong Relationships**: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders within technology, product, service and engineering teams (including leadership), sourcing and delivering stories which show how their workstreams support the company’s vision, goals and milestones.
- ** Advise Stakeholders**:Provide guidance and advice to internal stakeholders on the effective communication of their projects and operational updates.
- ** Lead Communications Projects**: Lead internal communications projects which support strategic business priorities and promote employee programmes, events and activities.
- ** Evaluate**: Measure the effectiveness of internal campaigns and implement feedback surveys to inform future improvements.
- ** Coordinate events**: Coordinate internal in-person and virtual events, utilising technology to create engaging experiences.
- ** Change Initiatives and Company Culture**: Support communications for change initiatives and promote the wider company culture.
- ** Embrace Technology**: Stay on top of technological advancements and how they can be used to continuously improve our communications approach. Support the Director of Internal Communications in the identification and introduction of new platforms and tools to improve reach and engagement.
What You Will Have:
- Specialist knowledge and experience of working within the Technology/Engineering Sector as a communications or media professional.
- Exceptional writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Creative flair and the ability to bring content alive through storytelling via digital channels.
- Ability to thrive in a complex environment and quickly assimilate information, with excellent organisation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including at a leadership level.
- Understanding of different audience types within large organisations with dispersed teams is a bonus.
