Communications Executive

Reporting to one of two Communications Managers and working as part of a matrixed team, help to influence and shape the external profile and reputation of RICS by delivering global communications plans that enhance our brand impact with both the profession and key stakeholders using a variety of media and channels.
- Focusing on outcomes that matter to our audiences, this role will ensure that RICS speaks with clarity, authority and consistency, telling our story and the impact of the profession on the world. Responsibilities will also include an element of internal communications, working with the Head of Internal Communications.
**Key Achievements & Responsibilities**
- Working under the direction of Comms Managers, implement multi-disciplinary communications campaigns in line with our business and communications strategy. These disciplines will include, but are not limited to, Sustainability, Thought Leadership, Standards, Regulation, Diversity and Inclusion and our corporate and internal activities, all of which link to and support RICS’ four strategic themes.
- Understand briefs and convert complex business material and information (with support from stakeholders) into engaging copy for all channels that is clear, consistent with our brand and business objectives, and is understood by our audiences.
- Develop ideas for tactics and content arising from incoming leads, data, and insight, and then briefing and commissioning the Content Creation team to ensure the resulting content assets are engaging and fit for purpose.
- Deliver global communications campaigns with regional and market nuances and adaptations where necessary, that raise awareness of our corporate narrative and strengthen our brand reputation with professionals, potential professionals, policymakers, regulators and clients of our professionals.
- Collaborate with other Communications Executives as a team of expert peers to ensure that campaigns throughout the year are co-ordinated, well-planned and resourced and collaborate with stakeholders in other departments to gain understanding of relevant campaign nuances as required.
- Incorporate relevant market data and insight into communications strategies to best engage our audiences.
- Monitor and evaluate communications activity and revise strategy and tactics in line with performance and reporting on campaign performance.
- Deliver insights for continuous improvement through relevant and appropriate KPIs and metrics, which are adjusted based on customer feedback, performance, experience and learnings. and delivering insights for continued improvement.
**Experience Required**
- Experience of delivering successful impactful multi-channel communications campaigns, ideally at a national or global level.
- Ability to engage with a range of stakeholders to shape briefs, ask the right questions to gather required information and execute campaigns successfully.
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage and prioritise the competing demands across multiple campaigns.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong networks and relationships across a complex, matrixed organisation.
- Strong writing skills and a track record of composing engaging and accurate content for different audiences.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively to identify ways to improve communications efforts.
- Good understanding of communications best practice and a curiosity for current trends and the industry at large.
