Bangor University are currently implementing iTrent, a fully integrated HR Payroll system with functionality that will encompass many areas such as recruitment, organisation structure, absence, learning, to name but a few. The system will also be complemented by a self-service platform for staff members to use, and Manager self-service for those with staffing responsibilities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the HR team in taking forward the implementation of the new system and supporting the HR Systems Support Officer in developing processes to support the University’s casual payroll. You will also gain wider HR experience by working closely with a HR Officer to provide administrative support to a professional support department within the University.

Overview

Reporting to the HR Systems Support Officer the primary focus of the role will be supporting the University’s casual payroll with particular emphasis on conducting right to work checks on all casual workers registered on the system, issuing statements of work, liaising closely with student administration for the close monitoring of Student Visa working regulations, and maintaining the casual worker structure within the iTrent system.

In addition, the role holder(s) will work closely with a HR Officer to provide administrative support to a professional support department within the University

**Responsibilities**:

- Act as primary contact for the University’s casual payroll in terms of supporting end users and responding to queries for assistance and support- Develop and update training material and user guides including recording and making use of videos to demonstrate and explain how to register for the casual worker system.- Ensure the HR website is updated regularly with information relating to the casual worker system including up to date guidance and instructions.- Responsibility for the maintenance of the casual worker structure within iTrent to include setting up of new posts and positions and ensuring correct terms and conditions, using the inheritance functionality, where appropriate.- Conduct right to work checks on all casual workers registered on the system.- Issue statements of work- Liaise closely with student administration for the close monitoring of Student Visa working regulations.- Provide data and reports as and when required.- Provide cover and support to the HR Systems Support Officer during the role holders absence.- Work closely with a HR Officer to provide administrative support to a professional support department within the University including supporting the recruitment process for posts, preparing contracts of employment and extensions/addendums to contracts, administering probation report process, leavers administration and providing help and guidance to managers and employees on general policy and signposting to relevant information on the HR web pages.- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion at all times.- To undertake other duties as may be required.Other

- Experience of working within an office /administrative environment-
