Safeguarding is at the heart of Plumpton College and our excellent safeguarding team is expanding to ensure we can continue to provide comprehensive and impactful support for our students.

Working in line with the College’s policies around behaviour and safeguarding, the postholder will provide structured and positive mentoring for students who need support with their behaviour, working restoratively to ensure that the individual improves their behaviour in class and around the campus.

This role will require the postholder to build positive relationships with all students and in many cases their parents/guardians, with the aim of engaging the students with supportive strategies to minimise behaviour related safeguarding incidents.

The overall focus of developing the inclusion practice will significantly contribute to minimising student suspensions and exclusions, helping students remain in education.

The role will include the requirement to plan and deliver staff training to groups and individuals throughout the year.

- Do you have high levels of resilience, emotional intelligence, empathy, and understanding of trauma informed practice?
- Do you have some experience within the strategic elements of safeguarding?
- Do you have experience of data analysis and reporting on themes and trends around safeguarding and inclusion?
