Activities Co-ordinator

Bryden Nursing Home are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Wellbeing Development Coordinator to join the team at our care home in Kidderminster, 20 hrs per week. Our focus is on providing the highest quality service at all times. Is yours?
Some residents become relucent to join in activities or go outside, do you have the patient’s, the communications and motivation to help them discover the benefits of individual wellbeing or group activities, if so we want to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
Acting as the ambassador for the care home. Engaging with the community, assisting the Manager/Deputy with marketing and public relations.
Taking responsibility for providing meaningful activities, enhancing the wellbeing and social needs of our residents.
Plan, organize and implement multi-faceted recreational activities for residents. This will include summer and Christmas parties and engagement within the local community, including religious groups.
Supervise and instruct residents in activities and techniques designed to meet their specific physical or psychological needs and liaise with care staff to ensure these are enacted.
Arranging suitable entertainers within an agreed budget.
Assist residents to and from activities including outings.
Prepare and submit residents reactions and progress reports using our care system including taking photographs and maintaining an activity log with evaluations.
Generally promoting our residents’ independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the very best standards of care
What you’ll need:
Ideally, some experience in a care environment, although this is not as essential as your genuine desire to develop a career in this field.
Some skills and experience in activities such as arts and crafts, gardening, baking, singing, etc.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a dedicated team.
A respectful, courteous and compassionate nature and a belief in giving your personal best at all times and striving for continuous improvement.
**vaccinated against CoVid-19, unless exempt.**

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour
