Kidderminster, United Kingdom Nightingale Court Care Home Full time

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that the home is a welcoming and friendly environment. Turn on TV’s & Radios in communal areas.

2. Ensure that all residents Life Histories added onto care plans and About Me is in bedrooms on display. Liaise with the Administrator to ensure these are given out in the welcome packages.

3. Ensure placemats for all residents are in place and create placemats for new admissions.

4. Ensure all residents have Door Name Signs on the correct bedroom doors.

5. Assist residents cared for in bed with breakfast. Ensure all sensory equipment is turned on and in good working order. Report to Head of Maintenance any concerns with equipment

6. Ensure daily living and meaningful activities are adhered to responsibly and in the correct environment.

7. Ensure that activity board is up to date and displaying the correct activities for the week ahead.

8. Organise trips and outings on a regular basis.

9. Ensure all daily paperwork is completed efficiently on the Activity Care Notes section on CMS

10. Complete and review all risk assessments for outings and events

11. Ensure regular fundraising events are held for the up keep of the comfort fund.

12. Organise and hold a residents meeting every 12 weeks. Minutes to be displayed on residents notice board

13. Ensure that resident surveys are carried out every 8 weeks

14. Maintain professional knowledge and competence.

15. Attend mandatory training sessions on or off the site as and when required.

16. Understand and ensure the implementation of the care home’s health and safety and emergency and fire procedure.

17. Report to the facilities manager or Home Manager any faulty appliances, damaged furniture, equipment or any potential hazard.

18. Promote safe working practice with in the care home.

19. Ensure that all information of confidential nature gained the course of duty is not to be divulged to third parties.

20. Notify the home manager, or the person in charge as soon as possible of your inability to report for duty and also on your return to work from all periods of absence.

21. Adhere to all company policies and procedures with in the defined timescale.

22. Carry out any other tasks that may be reasonably assigned to you.

**Salary**: £8.55-£11.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
