St Columb, United Kingdom Therapeutic Response Ambulance Service Full time

Are you looking for some additional ad hoc work when it suits you?

We are a very busy Mental Health Ambulance service and are looking to build our bank team. We don't currently have any regular positions available. We however experience peaks in demand for our ambulances, and in these times, we want to be as responsive as possible for our patients by putting additional crews on the road

On the bank, you are welcome to pick up any available shifts that get posted. This post normally suits people looking for some additional hours at times when it suits them. We will offer full shadowing and induction to the role....

So do you want a job where you feel valued? And where you can make others feel valued? We see our role as looking after our staff so they can look after our patients.

We are operational 7 days a week with some anti-social hours.

We are a family run service, providing specialist mental health ambulance services to the NHS. Our patient's are 13 years old and above with mental health conditions or other difficulties, that would indicate the need for a more secure and supportive transporting service. We work all over the South West beyond.

We offer pay rates above our competitors, recognising that the right people are worth investing in and people’s quality of life outside of work is important.

Qualifications are not essential; we know academia is not for everyone. Compassion and team work is much more important to us.

Our patients are likely to be experiencing high levels of emotional distress and are acutely unwell. Being human and caring is the foundation of our work. If you think you are a good fit with our culture and have some experience or an enthusiasm for working with vulnerable people please apply.

Sometimes when our patients are scared or unwell, they can respond in ways that challenge, including aggression and violence. Previous experience in this area would great.
