KBR’s global business comprises two main segments – Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) and Government Solutions (GS). These roles sit within STS in the Integrated Solutions business unit. Integrated Solutions is the engineering and project delivery group providing services which include front-end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction services, and program management primarily in the hydrocarbons and energy transition industries.

KBR has an exciting new opportunity and are looking for an Operations Manager to join the KBR Digital Solutions projects team.

As the Operations Manager within our dynamic team and reporting to the Director of Digital Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing Digital Solutions projects, managing resources, and controlling costs.

The ideal candidate will have a background in executing engineering energy projects and possess the ability to navigate the intricacies of project delivery. A keen understanding of commercial issues, overheads control management, and client-driven changes is crucial. A possession of excellent communication skills, both written and verbal as well as familiarity with software development and agile processes is required, as well as the ability to navigate commercial issues and control overheads effectively.

A proven track record in project execution within the field of engineering energy projects and prior experience managing teams is essential. Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the execution, cost, and delivery aspects of Digital Solutions projects.
  • Ensuring seamless project handover from sales, engaging with clients, managing meetings, and handling change requests.
  • Leading the team in delivering digital engineering projects, emphasizing consistent document and deliverable quality.
  • Managing client expectations and delivery commitments.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with clients to enhance collaboration.
  • Ensuring fulfillment of contract commitments.
  • Managing and mentor the operations team in the digital solutions domain.
  • Fostering an environment conducive to efficient project delivery.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in software development and familiarity with agile methodologies is required. Knowledge of Python and SQL is advantageous.

Qualifications:

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science discipline or equivalent experience.

Desirable

  • Chartered engineer status preferred.
