The University's Centre for Music Performance (CMP) is seeking a Communications Assistant to join our dynamic and supportive team.

About the Division / School:

The CMP is an umbrella organisation which enables students of all subjects, backgrounds and levels of musical ability to make extracurricular music - in all its forms - a core part of life here, thereby enriching the holistic educational experience on offer at Cambridge. Since its establishment in 2022 it has been dedicated to strengthening opportunities on offer for the university's most able performers, developing a new programme of entry level opportunities for musical beginners, and enhancing support for the thriving ecosystem of student-led music-making. While maintaining the university's core strengths in Western classical music, it is also extending support to a significantly wider range of musical genres.

The Role:

About you:

In order to succeed in this role, you will join us with experience of working in a range of communications disciplines including events marketing, excellent visual and written communication and interpersonal skills, and sufficient knowledge of music to ensure successful delivery of the Centre for Music Performance's marketing and communications strategy.

Benefits of working at Cambridge University include:

  • Generous annual leave allowance of 36 days paid leave (including bank holidays).
  • Generous maternity, adoption and shared parental leave entitlement and other family friendly schemes (e.g. workplace nurseries and salary exchange schemes for childcare).
  • An auto-enrolment pension scheme, with a generous employer contribution.
