Position Overview: The University of Cambridge is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Office of Scholarly Communication as a Scholarly Communication Support. This role is pivotal in delivering efficient and approachable assistance to researchers, administrators, and librarians throughout the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the submission of research articles to the institutional repository, ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
  • Provide helpdesk support, addressing inquiries related to funding and associated policies.
  • Occasionally assist in the deposit of various research outputs, including books, theses, and datasets.
  • Engage in discussions regarding workflow enhancements and service improvements.
  • Maintain correspondence with the academic community to foster collaboration.

Additional Duties: The role may also involve providing secretariat and technical support for meetings, preparing newsletter content, and participating in outreach initiatives, all within a dynamic work environment.

Candidate Profile: Ideal applicants will exhibit strong communication and organizational abilities, a collaborative spirit, and familiarity with diverse IT platforms and tools. A proactive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
