The University of Cambridge is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join its Department of Archaeology as a Teaching Administrator.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team and contribute to the smooth running of teaching and assessment administration in the Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching administration, including line-managing an Undergraduate Administrator and serving on the Department's Teaching Committee and Director of Studies Committee.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing coordination and oversight to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching administration in the Department.
  • Line-managing the Undergraduate Administrator.
  • Serving on the Department's Teaching Committee and Director of Studies Committee.
  • Organizing the Easter fieldtrip for second-year students, including liaising with the Fieldwork coordinator and academic lead for the trip.
  • Ensuring the smooth running of MPhil assessment and exams, including examiner meetings.
  • Ensuring the smooth running of Part I assessment and exams, including examiner meetings.
  • Acting as point of contact for MPhil students.
  • Maintaining MPhil student records.
