Role Overview
As a Support Worker, you will collaborate with Senior Support Workers to ensure compliance with care standards and regulations. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records within the service, which encompasses care plans, medication oversight, health action plans, safeguarding measures, and incident documentation.
You will engage with Health Professionals, ensuring that the principles of the Mental Capacity Act are considered in all decision-making processes.
This position operates on a flexible, zero-hour contract basis, requiring availability for various shifts between 08:00 and 22:00, including weekends and public holidays, for which additional pay rates apply.
The starting hourly wage for this role is £12.18, with enhanced rates for weekend and holiday shifts.
You will undergo a thorough training program and have access to exceptional career advancement opportunities while being part of a dedicated team focused on providing outstanding support to adults with disabilities.
Candidate Profile
We provide comprehensive training and development opportunities. A commitment to completing training and acquiring new skills while working with a supportive team is essential.
Proficiency in written and spoken English is required for effective case documentation and to pursue a qualification in Health and Social Care if not already obtained.
Previous experience in supporting individuals with disabilities is not mandatory, as training will be offered to suitable candidates. Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with IT proficiency, are necessary.
You should demonstrate a commitment to principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion, as well as an understanding of person-centered approaches. The ability to work independently and as part of a team during group activities is vital.
