A well-established facilities company is searching for an Accounts Assistant to join their collaborative team, based in Fareham, on an initial temporary basis (at least 3 months). There are opportunities for this to be extended and potential for a permanent opportunity in the future.

You will primarily be responsible for providing support and comprehensive cover when required, in the key areas of Driver Sheet Processing and producing Weekly Invoicing. Other responsibilities will be to provide support to the Finance Manager and Finance Team, helping to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Finance Department.

This is an office based role, with full-time hours 8.30-5pm, however we are willing to be flexible for candidates who are open to working at least 30 hours per week onsite, on a part-time basis.

Reporting to the Accounts Manager you will be responsible for:

Answer incoming calls to the Accounts Department, resolve any issues arising where you can and escalating or signposting where required.Assist and be able to process all Driver Daily Run sheets for a fleet of vehicles.Cross referencign and validating driver sheets to check for accuracy and ensring any amendments are recorded.Running weekly/daily billing reportsAssist and be able to produce weekly invoicing. Supporting Purchase Ledger function, keying, matching, batching and coding invoices onto Sage system.

What You Will Need

Previous experience in a similar role, such as Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant / Purchase Ledger Clerk / Purchase Ledger Administrator / Accounts Administrator / Finance Officer / Payroll Administrator / Finance AdministratorGreat attention to detail and administrative skillsAbility to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environmentCommittment to work at least 3 months temporary assignment (with extension likely)Tenacity and ability to multitaskGood ability to work with IT systems and ideally good Excel understanding.
