Role Overview – What to Anticipate:

In this role, you will oversee the preparation and/or review of annual statutory financial statements while also supporting the dividend cycle for the UK and various legal entities across the EMEA region, ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards. Your responsibilities will include maintaining compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as assisting in the annual internal and external audit processes for the aforementioned entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure local GAAP adjustments are accurately recorded in the secondary ledger for entities transitioned to Oracle, reconciling these with submitted financial statements after each annual cycle and prior to the close of the subsequent financial period.
  • Collaborate with the Statutory Reporting Manager to monitor the statutory reporting requirements and progress across the region, keeping the compliance tracking portal updated.
  • Work alongside local controllers and advisors to explore the potential rollout of statutory reporting software to incorporate additional legal entities' financial statements.
  • Partner with Treasury and Legal teams to review cash and reserves availability on a quarterly basis and calculate proposed dividends for the EMEA region, preparing necessary supporting documentation for board approval.
  • Provide assistance as needed with the implementation of new financial systems, such as Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics, across the two divisions of the business.
  • Collaborate with the Corporation Tax Manager/Tax Accountant to ensure tax provisions and related disclosures are accurately reflected in the statutory financial statements.

A comprehensive job description is available upon request.

About You:
