We currently have an opportunity for a CPU Orders & Rations Clerk to join our team at Merville Barracks, Circular Road South, Colchester. What you'll do:

  • Collate orders from Units, Messes and CPU
  • Place daily orders with Sodexo nominated suppliers
  • Ensure paperwork for transfers is accurately completed for ad hoc collections
  • Check incoming deliveries against delivery note supplied
  • Contact suppliers and report any discrepancies or quality issues
  • Record temperatures of deliveries made
  • Liaise with Store persons to ensure orders are completed in full before delivery
  • Ensure billing is prepared daily and accurately for CPU produced food and prepared vegetables
  • To assist with weekly stocktakes and post in timely manner to meet financial procedures
  • Provide cover for other administration duties for holidays and sickness when required
  • Assist Chef Managers and Head Chefs with information for function planning
  • Delivery of customer service and satisfaction to colleagues and client
  • Timely deliverance of paperwork
  • Timely completion of ordering processes
  • Compliance with all Sodexo Policies and Procedures

What you bring:

  • People Friendly, Customer service skills are essential
  • Good knowledge or Word & Excel
  • Able to work within a team environment
  • Good communications skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
  • Basic Knowledge of food is preferred
