Works within Asda's Service Operations & Infrastructure Technology directorate,
reporting into the Head of Function and with accountability for the establishment,
operation and continual development of the assigned practices, working in true
partnership with the supplier and with a steadfast focus on business outcomes
and value delivery.

Leads the newly established Hardware Asset Management practice, working with
the strategic partner to define the strategy and set the bar for the introduction of
best practice, automation and the establishment of a single version of the truth.
Works within the ITSM Configuration & Tooling function. Oversees the daily and
long term operational management and control of technology related hardware
assets throughout the lifecycle. Works closely with the strategic partner to
establish the service and define the operational standards, procedures and
reporting to support performance, data integrity and compliance.

Directs, governs and assures delivery of the outsourced ITAM services to the level
required. Supports ITAM systems analysis and provides subject matter expertise for long and short-range plans for lifecycle asset management related application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities.

Responsibilities

Contract Management
Deliver required outcomes by managing day-to-day relationships with contract service providers while working within an established contract management plan.Contract Requirements
Identify contract requirements and write specifications for a small portfolio or area of the business for existing contracts and/or new contracts.External Consultant or Contractor Engagement
Prepare briefings and information for external consultants or advisers to support the delivery of key projects and/or ad hoc services. Monitor and evaluate
outcomes and recommend remedial actions where necessary.Business Requirements Identification
Collect business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis, to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.Leadership and Direction
Communicate the local action plan; explain how this relates to the function's
strategy and action plan and to the broader organization's mission and vision;
motivate people to achieve local business goals.Policies and Procedures Development
Contribute to the drafting of policies, procedures, and related guidelines within an area of expertise to meet defined key principles and ensure compliance with external requirements.SkillsService Management Experience
Comprehensive expertise in both a strategic and tactical capacity is required
with advanced knowledge and experience of Service Management methodology, process and tooling (eg, ServiceNow, Flexera, SNOW, etc) using best practice in line with ISO19770 and ITIL and insight into integration and interactions across the Service Value Chain. Experience of working in a matrix environment alongside large strategic IT partners is essential.Policy and Regulation
Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on
interpreting and applying knowledge of regulations and policies in area of
expertise.Project Management
Works without supervision while providing input and technical guidance when required in support of projects and/or programs.Document and Model User Requirements
Works with full competence to utilize the appropriate modeling tool(s) to diagram the requirements from data and state changes, process and process
improvements, as well as use cases and user stories. Typically works without
