The role: Client Manager – Marine Hull
- The Client Manager will work part of the Marine Hull team who are responsible for the profitable handling and growth of existing marine insurance accounts. Working closely with Servicing Teams, Placement Specialists and Insurers to effectively manage a portfolio of marine clients and ensure best practice is achieved.
- A large part of the role will be drafting new business contracts, training will be provided, but any previous experience with MRC production and/or clauses would be useful.

We will rely on you to assist the Client Executive with:
- Servicing a worldwide portfolio of clients produced on a wholesale as well a retail basis.
- Servicing both renewals and new business from the Principal's initial enquiry through to the handing over of the placing slip to the Documentation / Policy Department for processing and invoicing.
- Providing full reviews of the risks proposed, preparation of underwriting presentations, production of draft insurance contracts set out in a slip format and include detailed premium and claim analysis.
- Placing business with insurers in a number of ways: Traditional broking into Lloyd's of London and other London based insurers, Electronic trading, trading direct with underwriters based overseas
What you need to have:
- An understanding of the insurance market and insurance principles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Resilience and a 'can do' attitude
- The ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines is essential
- Good Excel skills
- Attention to detail for both figures and contract wordings
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong IT skills with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
What makes you stand out:
- Previous Marine experienc
- CII qualifications or currently working towards obtaining
- Previous experience with MRC production and/or clauses would be useful
