Financial Controller

Based: Widnes area

Salary: up to £75k + bonus + benefits + great opportunities

Our client are an expanding, market-leading SME who are PE backed with a strong 3-5 year growth plan. Looking now for a strong number 2 in finance to support the MD & CFO with strategy and growth whilst overseeing a team of 5 and all day to day finances, this is a fantastic role offering wide-ranging exposure and a chance to step up in your career

Role:

  • Overseeing day to day finance, management a small team of 5
  • Producing management accounts, financial information pack and developing MI
  • Budgeting, planning & forecasting - business partnering with wider business
  • Overseeing annual audit, production of stat accounts including corporation tax & VAT
  • Continuous financial processes and controls upgrades/implementations
  • Commercial approach working with department heads on financial performance driving profit increase, cost savings and more
  • Commercial analysis and MI to discuss with wider non-finance stakeholders and board
  • Supporting FD on future projects including new systems, processes and growth over the next 3-5 years
  • Leading and supporting a team of transactional and part-qualified task

Experience:

  • ACA, CIMA, ACCA fully qualified
  • Experience in a PE backed environment beneficial but not essential
  • Experience in a stock/supply chain/retail/ecommerce environment essential
  • Experience managing a team essential
  • Commercial acumen and a desire to challenge the status quo
  • PowerBI/Tableau experience desirable but not essential
