Position: Senior Finance Manager

Location: Widnes area

Compensation: Up to £75k + bonus + benefits + excellent career development opportunities

Company Overview: TalentEdge is a dynamic, rapidly growing SME backed by private equity, with a robust growth strategy for the next 3-5 years. We are currently seeking a highly skilled finance professional to act as a key support to the Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer, overseeing a dedicated finance team of five.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily financial operations while leading a small team of five finance professionals.
  • Prepare management accounts and comprehensive financial reporting packages, enhancing management information.
  • Engage in budgeting, planning, and forecasting, collaborating with various departments to align financial goals.
  • Supervise the annual audit process and ensure the timely production of statutory accounts, including corporation tax and VAT compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvements in financial processes and controls.
  • Adopt a commercial mindset, partnering with department heads to enhance financial performance, profitability, and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct commercial analysis and present management information to non-financial stakeholders and the board.
  • Assist the Finance Director with strategic projects, including the implementation of new systems and processes to support growth.
  • Lead and mentor a team of transactional and part-qualified finance staff.

Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified ACA, CIMA, or ACCA.
  • Experience in a private equity-backed environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proven background in stock, supply chain, retail, or e-commerce sectors is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in team management is required.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a proactive approach to challenging existing practices.
  • Familiarity with PowerBI or Tableau is a plus but not essential.
