Why we're hiring:

WPP is recruiting a Global Senior Manager to lead on a wide variety of international indirect tax projects with a focus on tax advisory, tax audit resolution, tax training, tax transformation. This is an extremely varied role that will appeal to an experienced indirect tax professional who wishes to apply their knowledge to a range of situations, working with colleagues across the globe to enhance and mature WPP's global indirect tax compliance framework.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and motivated person to become a highly valued member of the team with exposure across the whole of the WPP global group which has a presence in over 100 countries.

You will be part of the WPP Indirect Tax team and will work closely with the finance teams across our different agency groups and our shared services organisation, with support and guidance from the Global Indirect Tax Director.

What you'll be doing:

Provide indirect tax advice to finance and commercial teams, accounts payable and accounts receivable colleagues on day-to-day business transactions.Advise on the indirect tax considerations associated with global contract negotiations with clients and suppliers.Advise on specific projects or new initiatives, e.g. launching a new service.Support on the resolution of indirect tax audits with tax authorities.Raise awareness of indirect tax across the businesses through ad hoc training.Provide updates and recommendations to the businesses on relevant new legislation.Support the WPP Global Indirect Tax Director with ad-hoc projects.Act as a point of contact for the global shared services organisation, providing indirect tax advice, resolving tax audits, developing best practices, helping to enhance processes.Continue to enhance WPP's tax control framework for indirect tax to reduce risk and errors.Advise on the implementation of indirect tax compliance technology - for example, the introduction of e-invoicing in the EU.Support the WPP Global Indirect Tax Director will the group's global indirect tax transformation.What you'll need:Previous relevant indirect tax experience of large and complex organisations, with some in-house experience with indirect tax advisory, compliance and transformation responsibilities.Experience of supporting the configuration of ERP systems for indirect tax and implementing tax compliance software is desirable.Have in-depth indirect tax technical knowledge with experience. advising on international business transactions.Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and implement improvements to processes and controls.CTA or equivalent qualification.Who you are:
