Liberty Global Corporate BV is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director, Tax to join our dynamic team in London.

As the Director, Tax, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Liberty Global's global tax strategy. You will provide expert guidance to senior management on all aspects of taxation, ensuring compliance with international regulations while maximizing profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the consolidated UK tax position for Liberty Global, encompassing CFC positions and International Movement of Capital rules.
  • Develop and implement innovative UK tax planning strategies to optimize after-tax profits and cash flow. Continuously monitor international tax developments and their impact on Liberty Global's global operations.
  • Lead and execute complex tax projects, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and efficient resource allocation.
  • Provide strategic guidance on financing structures within the UK, including managing tax implications related to financing transactions and derivatives.
  • Optimize the number of legal entities and intercompany funding structures (e.g., loans and equity investments) to minimize tax liabilities and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage tax aspects of international projects, such as acquisitions, dispositions, and new ventures, including due diligence and structuring considerations.
  • Cultivate and maintain a strong relationship with HMRC, ensuring transparency and alignment with shareholder interests.
  • Optimize external tax fees by leveraging expertise and negotiating favorable terms.
  • Promote tax awareness within the organization and collaborate effectively with other departments to foster a customer-centric approach.
Qualifications:

We seek an exceptional candidate with proven experience in a senior tax role within a large multinational corporation or advisory firm. A deep understanding of UK corporate tax law within an international context is essential, along with strong commercial and technical acumen.
