Applications are invited for a Research Associate to work with Professor Ziad Mallat, Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Victor Phillip Dahdaleh Heart & Lung Research Institute. The post-holder will work in collaboration with the group of Professor Sarah Teichmann and the group of Dr. Helle Jorgensen within a programme focussed on single-cell mapping of human coronary and carotid atherosclerosis.

The successful applicant will possess a PhD in a relevant subject such as biological science, have at least two years of post-doctoral experience, and have extensive "hands-on" experience of single-cell genomic techniques and strong expertise in bioinformatic analysis of single-cell data. Experience in the isolation and culture of primary immune cells, preparing and analysing samples using flow cytometry and other standard laboratory techniques is essential. Experience in in vivo pre-clinical studies would be favoured. Candidates must have a track record of research achievement, including peer-reviewed publications.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.
