Human Resources Advisor UK

Mission: To provide pro-active, effective Human Resources solutions to Melia UK Hotels. You will collaborate with heads of departments and managers to promote positive employee relations, advising on policy and procedure, and driving improvements in areas such as absence management. You will be responsible for responding to general employee HR queries and updating documents and policies as requested.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting Managers on the correct application of Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Complying with GDPR and promoting knowledge and compliance with the regulations.
  • Providing information and advice to employees regarding human resources policies such as absences, maternity, paternity, shared parental leave, pension's queries etc.
  • Attending meetings as HR representative, to guide line managers, ensure legality and fairness of meetings, and capture accurate minutes for all parties.
  • Preparing briefs and support managers in all aspects of employee relations matters.
  • Supporting the HR leads in advising managers and staff regarding requests for flexible working, maternity, paternity, parental, emergency family leave and compassionate leave, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and related Company policies and procedures.
  • In conjunction with the on-property HR leads, support & provide effective and pro-active advice to line managers on all employee related issues, including disciplinary and grievance, performance management and sickness and absence management, in line with Company policies and procedures, current UK legislation and best practice.
