Position: Human Resources Partner for Meliá UK

Objective: To deliver proactive and effective Human Resources solutions tailored for Meliá UK Hotels. You will work closely with department heads and managers to foster positive employee relations, providing guidance on policies and procedures while enhancing areas such as absence management. Your role will involve addressing general HR inquiries and updating documentation and policies as needed.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting Managers in the proper implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with GDPR and promoting awareness of these regulations.
  • Offering information and support to employees regarding HR policies, including absences, maternity, paternity, shared parental leave, and pension inquiries.
  • Representing HR in meetings to guide line managers, ensuring legality and fairness, and accurately documenting minutes for all parties involved.
  • Preparing briefs and assisting managers with all aspects of employee relations.
  • Supporting HR leads in advising managers and staff on requests for flexible working, maternity, paternity, parental, emergency family leave, and compassionate leave, ensuring adherence to UK legislation and company policies.
  • Collaborating with on-property HR leads to provide effective and proactive advice to line managers on employee-related issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, performance management, and absence management, in accordance with company policies, current UK legislation, and best practices.

We Are Looking For:

  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional demeanor and a positive attitude.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
