For three decades, our multiple studios, founded by Jason & Chris Kingsley, have been creating outstanding video games. But Rebellion offers much more than just gaming. We have our own film and mo-cap studio, produce board games, publish books, and release comics and graphic novels through 2000AD, including the iconic Judge Dredd.

We are on the lookout for a highly motivated Senior Technical Animator to join our team. Collaborating with our skilled technical animators, you'll be involved in diverse projects, including a strategic shooter game, a post-apocalyptic survival action title, and a Sci-Fi themed shooter project.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain clear documentation on tools, methods, training, processes along the animation pipeline.
- Provide detailed input during the character creation process, from initial concept to final rigging, identifying character performance and functionality requirements.
- Research new technologies and innovations to enhance animation efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with code, design, art and animation teams to deliver performant and engaging game experiences.
- Ensure work quality and make necessary improvements to align with technical constraints and artistic direction.
- Act as a mentor and role model for the team, fostering creativity and enthusiasm.
Requirements
- Anatomy and body mechanics knowledge.
- Proficiency in 3D software like Maya, Motion Builder, and/or Blender, with a focus on rigging and skinning.
- Experience in creating body, facial, and prop rigs.
- Familiarity with motion capture and writing tools with MEL and Python.
- Understanding of production pipelines and the video game development process.
- Knowledge of 3D math and experience in creating tools UI with Maya commands or QT/Pyside.
- Ability to create tools with Python and work with the Maya node editor.
- Experience in creating corrective joints and driving them, especially with vectors.
