For over three decades, we have been at the forefront of developing exceptional video games across various studios. However, Rebellion is not solely about gaming; we also produce films, motion capture content, board games, and publish a range of literature, including comics and graphic novels like the iconic Judge Dredd.

We are seeking a Lead Animation Specialist to enhance our dynamic development team and contribute significantly to various exciting projects. This includes involvement in an intense battle royale game and the chance to work on unannounced titles, including a dark sci-fi shooter and more. Our original IP, Atomfall, is also set for a future release.

This position is ideal for a seasoned Lead Animator ready to advance their career. You will focus on crafting innovative movements and behaviors for thrilling unannounced projects. Our rapidly expanding art team is looking for a driven individual to foster team growth and maximize the impact on our games.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage departmental performance and professional growth through constructive feedback during review cycles.
  • Lead the Animation department utilizing best practices in people management.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Art, Designers, Programmers, and Producers to align creative vision with production realities.
  • Create high-quality in-game animations that meet the project's artistic standards.
  • Assess and enhance animation quality within the game, ensuring alignment with technical constraints and artistic direction.
  • Act as a mentor and role model for the animation team, fostering a creative and enthusiastic atmosphere.

Essential Qualifications

  • Expertise in Motion Capture, Motion Builder, Maya, 3DS Max, and Character Studio.
  • Proficient in animating realistic human movements.
  • Advanced knowledge of rigging and skinning techniques.
  • Capable of producing high-quality animations across various game engines, including Unreal.
  • Thorough understanding of the video game development process and production pipelines.
  • Extensive experience in effective people management practices.
  • Committed to personal professional development and mentoring others to enhance their skills and knowledge.
