About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Animation Director to join our team at Rebellion. As a key member of our animation department, you will be responsible for leading the creation of high-quality animations for our games.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Animation Department: Manage and mentor a team of animators to ensure the delivery of high-quality animations on time and to the required standard.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with designers, programmers, and producers to ensure that animations meet the project's creative vision and technical requirements.
  • Develop and Implement Animation Strategies: Create and implement animation strategies that align with the project's goals and objectives.
  • Manage Animation Assets: Oversee the creation and management of animation assets, including character models, animations, and special effects.
  • Optimize Animation Performance: Ensure that animations are optimized for performance and run smoothly on a variety of hardware configurations.
Requirements
  • Expert Knowledge of Animation Principles: Have a deep understanding of animation principles, including timing, spacing, and motion.
  • Proficiency in Animation Software: Be proficient in animation software, including Maya, 3ds Max, and Unreal Engine.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of animators.
  • Attention to Detail: Have a keen eye for detail and be able to ensure that animations meet the required standard.
