Audit File Reviewer - Home Based

Location: UK Remote with UK travel

Salary: Competitive plus benefits

If you are an ACA qualified professional or equivalent, with exceptional technical expertise in external audit and financial reporting, compliance regulation, and a keen interest in assisting clients in assessing accounting compliance risk by reviewing client files and providing feedback and recommendations for enhancement, this opportunity is for you.

Join Mercia Group, a prominent provider of training and support services to the accountancy sector, collaborating with more than 8000 firms nationwide. Being part of the Wilmington Training & Education division, the role offers a fantastic chance to conduct thorough and unbiased file reviews to assess accountancy practices' adherence to regulatory standards.

As a key member, you will engage closely with our Product team, contributing to technical, client, and competitor intelligence that guides Product decisions. Your collaboration with the Product Director and Managers ensures alignment with client needs, integrating product solutions for our Sales and Marketing teams.

Key Requirements:

  • The flexibility to travel within the UK
  • Strong technical acumen in external audit, accounting, and compliance regulations
  • The capability to keep abreast of evolving regulations through extensive research
  • Sound commercial awareness of the UK accounting sector
  • Professional qualification to ACA standard or equivalent with relevant post-qualification experience
  • Effective application of technical knowledge to diverse client scenarios
  • Previous experience in reviewing audit files or compliance work is advantageous
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English
  • Outstanding organisational and project management abilities
