Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our expanding technology risk assurance team at the Director level.

This prestigious global organization is in search of an individual who can steer the strategic vision and execution of their IT Audit initiatives, with a particular emphasis on their portfolio of External Audits within the financial services industry. The role involves supervising the delivery of exceptional work while promoting the growth and development of team members.

This position offers a unique opportunity to advance your career and become an integral part of the national leadership team as the Technology Risk Assurance (TRA) division enhances its operations and supports the national audit framework. Responsibilities will also include innovating our service delivery in key areas such as Advanced Data Analytics, IT Governance, Cyber Security, Technology Resilience, and Data Privacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Formulate and execute technology-driven audit methodologies to effectively mitigate audit risks.
  2. Evaluate the outputs produced by the team to ensure adherence to high-quality audit standards.
  3. Deliver insightful reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Collaborate with our regional TRA team to ensure efficient project and financial management across current and future engagements.
  5. Leadership: Oversee a team managing a variety of IT audit projects, working closely with audit teams to strategically allocate resources, define audit scopes, and develop project plans to meet External Audit requirements.
  6. Inspirational People Management: Motivate, mentor, and enhance the skills of team members, while also designing and implementing training programs to ensure relevant and up-to-date skills.
  7. Exceptional Client Service Delivery: Uphold our high standards of client service, introducing innovative ideas to enhance our offerings and serving as a key point of contact for project delivery issues.
  8. Innovation: Contribute significantly to the development of methodologies and guidelines for internal use.
  9. Business Development: Actively engage in our growth strategy by leading business development initiatives, including connecting with potential clients, crafting proposals, and nurturing strong internal relationships.
  10. Represent the firm in marketing initiatives and stay informed about the diverse range of services we provide.
  11. Personal Development: Continuously share the latest insights in technology with the Partner and Director community, clients, and team members.

Essential Skills:

  1. Proficiency in IT General Controls and Business Process Control Activities.
  2. Experience in integrating Controls testing and Data Analytics into external audit frameworks.
  3. Ability to interpret the financial audit implications of IT risks and control deficiencies.
  4. Knowledge of cyber risk management and business resilience strategies.
  5. Understanding of IT system implementation risks and controls.
  6. Expertise in IT Governance and Compliance Reviews.
  7. Familiarity with Service Auditor Reporting.
